Rison the Great, Rison the Mighty, Rison the Conqueror. These titles and more, Rison dreamed of as a young adult. He had been trained in combat from a very young age, and though he was destined to be the ruler of Mon-Beloh, all he wanted was to be renowned for his fighting prowess. He yearned to win glory on the fields of battle. To defeat honorable foes. And to drive off hordes of dishonorable wretches.
But right now, it was a history lesson. He’d heard this lesson many times already. He knew the material, but his mentor wished to make sure he would never forget it, so repetition was key. Or so said Rison’s mentor. What was his name? Rison couldn’t remember. He could recall more about the history he was being taught than his own mentor’s name. His droning on and on didn’t help matters. He never even took the time to check to see if Rison was paying attention. He just kept talking.
